RECIPE
To inspire your first cook-up, here’s a simple old-fashioned baked bean recipe to try:
500g dried navy beans
1 chopped onion
1/2 cup molasses
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 tbsp mustard
1/4 tsp pepper
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup diced bacon
Water to cover

Simmer beans until tender, then bake slowly in your bean pot for 3–4 hours until thick and rich.
