Vintage 1960s Balinese Praying Woman Carved Wood Wall Sculpture, Indonesian Art

Beautiful vintage carved wooden wall sculpture depicting a stylised female figure in a traditional prayer pose.

Believed to date from the 1960s, this striking Indonesian/Balinese carving has an elegant elongated form and beautiful hand-carved detailing. The figure is finished in a deep, almost black tone that highlights its sculptural silhouette and natural timber character.

The piece is designed to hang on the wall, with a hanging hole incorporated into the reverse.

The seller described the timber as ebony wood; however, the exact wood species has not been independently verified, so this is offered as a vintage carved hardwood sculpture.

Condition: Excellent vintage condition with minor signs of age and use. Please see photographs.
